Vinalhaven is served by two ferries. The two depart simultaneously from terminals in Rockland and Vinalhaven. Crossing time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.

The Museum is easy to find - From the Maine State Ferry Service, bear right out of the parking lot on to West Main Street, and go alongside Carver's Harbor for .2 miles. Take the first left, High Street, and come to the crest of the hill. The Historical Society, 41 High Street, will be on the right.
It has been brought to our attention that Google Maps does NOT give an accurate pinpoint of our location. If viewing Vinalhaven on Google Maps, we are located at the intersection of Mountain St. and High St.
Parking is very limited in front of the building. Please be curteous to other visitors and park mindfully.
The Museum generally opens the third week of June and is open through the third week of September (exact dates and hours will be advertised).
